The pictures of each shearling scarf showing both sides of the same scarf or show the scarf worn in different ways. Scarves are usually made with the wool side as the right side and may have minor natural imperfections on the nappalan or suede side but still look good and give an interesting casual look with the wool side down. Scarf colours in the pics are a good guide but please ask for a snip of the actual colour if you would like one.
The toscana lamb sheepskin scarves that I make are all as individual as each individual lambskin. Some scarves are trimmed and some left with more of the natural shape of the skin. Some are made from whole lambskins and some are made from pieces sewn together. I like to leave the wool showing on the centre back seam as I think this adds to the luxurious look and feel of each scarf. When I make scarves for stock I take each skin and make the best scarf possible from that skin. When I make to order I try to hand pick the most suitable lambskin from my suppliers to suit the design of scarf to be made
I am now adding a hook and loop to the ends of most of my toscana shearling scarves so that they can be worn as collars and snoods as well if they are long enough for “snooding”. About 46 inches is the minimum to snood if you are happy to be quite snug unless the wool is bushy then about 50 inches. For shorter scarves or a less snug fit a ribbon can be attached to the hook and loop. The shorter shearling scarves can also be knotted and secured with the hook and loop to give the effect of a snood. Some now have an extra loop sewn in at the neck so that one side can be wrapped across and the other side hooked up to snood. Many of the individual colours are one or a few of a kind but good news is that the very popular honey brisa should be back in stock soon along with the black, black brisa, brown and brown brisa.
